MANITO AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Manito Area Chamber of Commerce met for its regular meeting at 7:00 am on Friday,
December 4 at “Just Like Home”. Members present: Ken Farnam, Judy Lacer, Phil Frederick, Debbie
Horchem, Rayeann Meeker, Mark Meyer, Curt Jibben, Carol Palmer, Renita Holstlaw, Rosemary Palmer,
and Nancy Proehl. New members present: Dawn Palmer and Lori Corr. Other new members not able to
attend: Mary Hermes, Scott Nickerson and Anthony Parkin

New board president, Phil Frederick opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag.

Judy Lacer presented the 2012 budget. The treasurer’s report showed a balance of $9481.84

It was decided to refer Manito Money changes to a committee which includes Rayeann Meeker, Carol
Palmer and President Phil.

The annual Chamber Luncheon is Noon on Wednesday, January 18 at the Forman Center. Don Onken and
his staff at Onken Recycling, Easton, will present the program sharing information about his Mason County
business and his plans for his building purchased in Havana. Other plans regarding the day were discussed.
Chamber members should make a reservation at Country Financial at 968-7200.

Brochure holders will be ordered for any members who wish them..

President Frederick gave a report on parking suggestions which he gave to the Village Board.

Various ways to market the village were discussed as a Shop Local project. More will come forth at the
next meeting.

Ken Farnam agreed to audit the books.

Information was given to the Chamber regarding the MAPPING goals workshop which the Village Board
will host later in the summer.
